Translation Areas

A good translator is measured by their fields of expertise. As the saying goes: Jack of all trades, master of none… Fortunately, my professional and personal backgrounds meet in a beautiful intersection that has allowed me to gain experience and knowledge in the following disciplines:

Tourism

My passion for travel has inevitably linked me to tourism and hospitality. I work for restaurants, hotels, wine stores, search engines, museums, and tour operators and produce texts as varied as blogs, landing pages, travel guides, user reviews, recipes, and restaurant descriptions, among others.

Marketing

Everything is marketing. From the onboarding texts of a new app to the terms and conditions of a booking website. I translate, revise, and adapt your press releases, articles, infographics, websites, advertisements, and company materials into European Spanish so that you can sell more. And better.

Web and software localisation

The dreaded placeholders and commands are my bread and butter. I move tags, translate in-app messages, and convert numeric data from your website (currencies, measurements) to Spanish nomenclature. My usual assignments include user interfaces, metadata, web pages, and release notes, for iOS and Android.

E-commerce

We all consume — and do it all the time. From instructions on how to use an anti aging serum to fashion hauls and catalogues, from electronic product descriptions for Amazon, I take care of localising and translating your product information for your Spanish audiences.

Education

My background and experience as a language instructor make me the ideal person to translate assessment reports, school reports, or infographics on educational trends. I also have professional and user experience translating and proofreading language learning apps and courses. Duolingo who?

Photography

Here’s another of my passions turned into a speciality. Whether it’s for a photography blog or your SLR camera user manual, my work with clients such as Sony has helped me to understand different types of lenses, shots, and settings. That way, your pictures not only express your unique personality and style, but do so in the right language.

By the way, we language specialists love to help each other. If you need a professional translator for technical, medical, or legal texts, please do not hesitate to contact me  — I will be more than happy to provide you with a suitable profile.
