Bilingual proofreading

Few professions require as much precision as surgeons. Well, we proofreaders might be up there. I compare your texts in Spanish and their original language and make sure there are no lexical or semantic inaccuracies, spelling mistakes or formatting errors. I can work on Word, Canva… or wherever you tell me.

Monolingual proofreading and correction

SEO Localisation

That automotive market survey you have in German… I can adapt it to Spanish, paying special attention to measures, the current presence of brands and trade groups in the target market and focusing on those culturally relevant questions for your audience.

A 30-year-old Argentinian does not have the same search intent as a 45-year-old Spaniard. I inhabit the mind of your end users and determine what they are going to search for, in which channels, and how often. To do this, I use SEO search tools such as Ubersuggest, Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, and Google Trends.

I integrate your keywords into the metadata of your website (slugs, meta titles, meta descriptions) and create alternative text so that you rank higher in search engines.

Transcreation and copywriting

An energy drink campaign cannot be targeted in the same way for the US and the Spanish markets. I create scripts, advertisements and slogans that are as attractive as your product. You won’t be getting a standard translation, but a conceptualisation completely adapted to your segment and market share.

Don’t know where to eat in Dublin? I’ll take care of that too. On top of a copywriter, I’m a backpack and notebook avid traveller. You never know when inspiration will strike you to write that travel blog.

UX Writing

Today, a company that has no online presence is going nowhere. Here, effective, actionable, and understandable communication for the user is key. Do you want to modify or configure the interface of your website or app to ensure an optimal browsing experience? Do it with simple, short, and clear texts. Tooltips, buttons, error messages, confirmation emails… You decide how I elaborate your message and with how many words.

QA

A translation is not finished until it is delivered. But the step before publication is perhaps the most important.

I make sure that your texts read correctly on the web and on mobile devices, and that there are no overlaps or formatting errors, coded language, untranslated parts, or images that obscure the content. I will deliver it to you with an error report in your preferred format. Or in PowerPoint, which is more visual and easier to process.

Creation of style guides

Inclusive language, spelling, forbidden terminology… If working for a multitude of clients from various sectors has an advantage, it would be that of knowing them from the inside. Years and years of experience familiarising myself with style, voice, and tone guides have helped me to understand what your company wants, how it wants it, and which expressions or terms should be adopted or avoided. So much so that I have turned things around and want to help you shape your brand… as only you would.

It is normal to have doubts about how to target a product or brand to a specific market. My knowledge of localisation in the Spanish market helps you decide whether your proposal fits into its niche, both in terms of terminology and cultural relevance.
